MSEUF-CNAHS holds 8th 'White Coat & Pinning Ceremony' for 39 future medical technologists
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation's College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) held its 8th White Coat and Pinning Ceremony at Queen Margrette Hotel in Barangay Domoit, Lucena City, April 2, marking a milestone for 39 medical technologist students as they advanced their academic journey.
CNAHS Dean Dr. Maria Corazon Valdeavilla, alongside CNAHS faculty members, Dr. Carmina Tolentino, and Maria Vielka Cavida, led the imposition of nameplates, pins, and white coats which underscored the students' transition into the clinical phase of their medical technology education while signifying their readiness to embark on practical training.
Dr. Rodylette Salico Garcia, RMT, an alumna and former professor in the BSMT program, delivered a keynote address.
"This ceremony marks not just a step forward, but a commitment to uphold the highest standards in health care," Dr. Garcia said, emphasizing the importance of dedication and integrity in the medical profession.
Reflecting on their journey, Ageleen San Pedro, representing her fellow students, shared insights into the collective experience of the batch.
"Today, we embrace not only our roles as future medical technologists but also our responsibility to serve with compassion and precision," San Pedro expressed, highlighting the significance of the occasion for each student.
- The ceremony's rituals — the nameplate, pinning, and donning of the white coat — hold deep symbolism in the medical community. The nameplate, personalized for each student, symbolizes identity and responsibility in patient care. The pin signifies the university's endorsement of their readiness for clinical practice, while the white coat represents professionalism and trust in their future endeavors.
- As MSEUF continues to mold future leaders in health care, events like the White Coat and Pinning Ceremony reaffirm the university's commitment to excellence in education and the cultivation of compassionate health professionals poised to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
