4th year culinary arts students complete hospitality, culinary training in Astoria Palawan
Fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with a specialization in Culinary Arts students from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation completed 300 hours of training at Astoria Palawan from February 19 to April 4, 2025.
The training program provided students with hands-on experience in hotel operations and culinary service. It formed part of their academic requirement and exposed them to industry practices in a resort setting.
“We handled real kitchen duties and learned food preparation under time pressure,” said one of the student trainees. “It tested our skills and discipline.”
Astoria Palawan accommodated the students and assigned them to various departments, including front office, food and beverage, and kitchen operations.
“This training gave us a better understanding of how hospitality standards are maintained daily,” another student shared. “We now know how to work as part of a team in a professional setting.”
- The activity supported the University’s mission to provide responsive programs aligned with national development goals. It upheld the University’s vision of producing globally competitive graduates by equipping them with real-world hospitality and culinary experience.
