Chairman Enverga leads ground-breaking ceremony of 7th MSEUF campus in Mauban
Atty. Wilfrido Enverga, Chairman of the Board and CEO of MSEUF, headed the delegation of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation with Cong. Mark Enverga and esteemed guests from the Municipality of Mauban, Department of Education, Commission on Higher Education, contractors, and community partners in a historic ground-breaking and blessing of the construction site of the soon-to-rise satellite campus of MSEUF in Mauban, Nov. 28.
To expand access to high-quality, internationally competitive education in eastern Quezon, the Mauban campus is the seventh and newest branch of MSEUF, aimed at constructing a two-level building to offer Junior High School, Senior High School, and Higher Education programs, namely Psychology, Tourism, and Information Technology.
In her welcome remarks, Dr. Benilda N. Villenas, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academics and Research, extended gratitude to the Sangguniang Bayan, DepEd officials, contractors, University administration, trustees, and Congressman Mark Enverga. She noted that the new campus exemplifies MSEUF’s dedication to bringing world-class education closer to Mauban’s youth, anchored on internationalization, outstanding instruction, research, and community service. Dr. Villenas also announced the university’s latest accomplishments.
Mauban Mayor Erwin C. Pastrana presented an inspirational statement, appreciating the participation of provincial authorities, the Sangguniang Bayan, MSEUF officials, and the Mauban people. He commended MSEUF’s investment in Mauban, stressing that it is an investment in Mauban’s children’s future rather than just infrastructure. He pointed out that in communities that are resilient, intelligent, and innovative, aligned relationships speed up progress. “Pwede naman pala na magkaroon dito ng Manuel S. Enverga University Mauban Campus,” he exclaimed, showing immense joy for the milestone in Mauban.
Dr. Aris S. Barrago, OIC–Assistant Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd, conveyed heartfelt welcomes to officials, employees, and the Enverga family. He expressed delight at the establishment of the campus as a “source of pride and opportunity” for Mauban learners, especially local public school graduates who will soon have greater access to postsecondary education.
Cong. Mark Enverga expressed gratitude to the Enverga family, MSEUF officials, and Sangguniang Bayan for making the project feasible. He introduced Mr. Dominique A. Medenilla, whose assistance made the campus development possible. He also thanked his father, former Governor and MSEUF Chairman Wilfrido L. Enverga, for his leadership. He stressed the economic and educational significance of the project and that the youth will have greater opportunities and a brighter future, supported by an institution committed to excellence.
As he concluded, Atty. Buenaventura L. Quiling, member of the MSEUF Board of Trustees, reiterated the university’s dedication to offering affordable, excellent education in Mauban and the surrounding areas. He praised all stakeholders whose participation made the milestone possible.
