Thirty-three basketball players and twenty-seven dancers marked the close of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Mauban Basketball and Dance Camp with a culminating activity held on April 30 at the Mauban Municipal Gymnasium. Parents and guardians were also invited to witness the event.

Guided by Basketball Coach Paul John Reyes and Dance Coach Marissa Ayaay, the young players and performers completed the summer workshop. A selection of outstanding participants were awarded scholarships to MSEUF-Mauban, twelve from the basketball camp and another twelve from the dance workshop.

The twenty-four selected scholars, who will be incoming Grade 7 and Grade 11 students of MSEUF-Mauban, also joined a follow-up camp at the MSEUF Lucena campus on May 6 to 7, where they continued developing their skills at the university's main facilities.

  • SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being: The camp promotes physical fitness and an active lifestyle among the youth through structured basketball and dance training.
  • SDG 4 – Quality Education: The awarding of enrollment scholarships opens pathways to formal education for outstanding young participants from the Mauban community.
  • SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities: By extending scholarship opportunities to incoming junior and senior high school students, MSEUF helps reduce barriers to quality education for youth outside urban centers.
