2 CCMS faculty members complete IT graduate degrees
Strengthening faculty expertise in systems and software development, two faculty members of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies completed their Master in Information Technology degrees during the 79th Commencement Exercises of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, July 1.
Charles Ethan Chua completed the Master in Information Technology with specialization in System Development. His capstone, “An NMF-Based Graduate Tracer System for Employment Insights and Skills Analysis,” applied technology and research to generate employment and skills insights that can support data-driven decision-making in education and career development.
Alexander Maralit II completed the Master in Information Technology with specialization in Software Development. His capstone, “A Non-Invasive Cattle Identification Using Muzzle Pattern Recognition in Livestock Management,” explored the use of software development and intelligent systems for cattle identification and livestock management.
The completion of their graduate degrees strengthened the faculty members’ academic and technical preparation while demonstrating the application of information technology to practical concerns in education, career development, agriculture and livestock management.
Through their graduate research, Chua and Maralit contributed technology-based approaches that connect advanced computing knowledge with real-world applications in their respective areas of study.
The achievement supported the University’s commitment to excellence in teaching and research by strengthening the advanced academic and technical competencies of its faculty members. Their capstone projects also reflected the University’s emphasis on research-based knowledge and outcomes-oriented education through the application of technology to practical challenges.
