CBA hosts stakeholders' assembly; gov't agencies provide insights
Advocating decent work and economic growth, the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) hosted a one-day stakeholders' assembly on Sept. 23, where faculty members and students participated.
The assembly is a conclave of CBA's industry partners, including non-governmental and governmental agencies.
Financial literacy, as campaigned by Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas during the event, focussed on investment decisions and budgetting including financial planning. While, the Department of Trade and Industry encouraged listeners to venture in entrepreurship endeavors via its GoNegosyo falgship program.
The Department of Labor and Employment talked about the ongoing rescheduling of minumum wage, in considerations with the rising cost of living and inflation rate. MSEUF's workers union, headed by its President Atty. Carmen A. Aldovino, was also mentioned as a model program of unionized workers towards labor rights practice compliance, a vital component of UN-SDG 8.
Dr. Flormando P. Baldovino, for his part as the CBA Dean, challenge student attendees to be future catalyst of economic empowerment of our "kapwa pinoys".
