The CAS Psychological Society participated in “EU Protection: Advocating Students’ Awareness on Sexual Health, Rights and Protection” on April 8 at EMRC Main to support the university’s campaign for HIV awareness, sexual health education and student protection.

The Student Rights and Welfare Committee and College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Representative Janna Angela Genosa of the University Collegiate Student Council organized the initiative.

The two-part program focused on health education, proactive care and responsible behavior among students.

The morning session featured discussions on sex education, HIV awareness, cybercrime, cyberbullying and cybersex harassment.

The seminar provided students with information to help them make safe and responsible decisions in both physical and digital spaces.

In the afternoon, the program offered free and confidential HIV testing, giving students a private and safe way to check their status and take a more active role in protecting their health.

Through its participation, the CAS Psychological Society supported efforts to break stigma, promote care and encourage students to stay informed about their rights, safety and well-being.

The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service and Fortitude by encouraging students to make informed decisions, protect their well-being and respect the rights and dignity of others. It also supported student-centered learning by providing practical knowledge on health, digital safety and responsible conduct beyond the classroom.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – The initiative promoted HIV awareness, sexual health education and access to confidential testing.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education – The seminar provided students with learning opportunities on health, safety, rights and responsible digital behavior.
  • SDG 5: Gender Equality – The activity supported awareness of sexual health, protection and respect for personal boundaries.
  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – The program promoted student rights, digital safety and protection from harassment and abuse.
