Political Science Society builds stronger leadership, transparency in LEAPS 2026

Political Science Society of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation actively participated in the LEaders’ Advancement Programs and Services (LEAPS) for MSEUF Student Organizations and Awarding of Certificates for Accredited Student Organizations held at the University Library Seminar Hall, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, digital documentation, and leadership development within the academic community.
Represented by its officers, the organization actively participated in the program alongside other student groups, engaging in sessions designed to strengthen organizational communication, governance, and accountability. The activity served as a platform for Political Science students to further develop competencies aligned with their discipline, particularly in public communication and responsible leadership.
A key highlight of the event was the Microsite Training facilitated by University Digital Content Creator Simon Romuel Uy. During the session, Uy introduced the university microsite as the official platform for publishing organizational news and updates, emphasizing its role in promoting transparency and accurate information dissemination. He guided participants through the platform’s features and proper usage in accordance with institutional standards.
Following the workshop, the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) conducted a certificate awarding ceremony recognizing accredited student organizations for their contributions during the previous academic year. The program concluded with reminders on compliance requirements, including the timely submission of documents for off-campus activities to ensure adherence to university policies. These guidelines reinforced the importance of accountability and efficiency in managing organizational responsibilities.
Through its participation in LEAPS, the Political Science Society enhanced its capabilities in news writing, digital publishing, and organizational documentation. Student leaders noted that these skills are essential in promoting transparency, ethical leadership, and informed civic engagement—core principles of Political Science.
The involvement of the Political Science Society in LEAPS supports the University’s mission of delivering holistic and student-centered education. It reflects the core values of Unity through collaboration with other organizations, Excellence in leadership and program implementation, Mindfulness in cultivating purpose-driven leadership, and Service through its continued advocacy for civic engagement.
