Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation conducted its Leadership Advancement Program and Services (LEAPS) and the awarding of certificates to accredited student organizations on Jan. 9, 2026, at the University Library Seminar Hall.

The activity gathered around 70 participants from various recognized student organizations and aimed to strengthen student leaders’ competencies in leadership, digital communication, and organizational accountability.

One of the program’s highlights was the presentation of a newly developed university microsite designed as the official platform for student organizations to publish news articles and updates. Mr. Simon Romuel Uy facilitated a training on news writing and website posting, guiding participants on content creation, responsible publishing practices, adherence to university standards, accuracy of information, and consistency in documentation.

As part of the accreditation process and hands-on learning component, participating organizations were required to produce news articles featuring their previous activities. Organizers said the exercise enhanced practical writing skills while reinforcing transparency and proper documentation of organizational initiatives.

Following the training sessions, the University formally recognized accredited student organizations through the distribution of certificates, including citations for outstanding and most active organizations. The recognition highlighted the contributions and sustained engagement of student groups during the previous academic year.

Organizers said the LEAPS program strengthened leadership and communication skills among student organization members, including those from the MSEUF DOST Scholars’ Guild, by reinforcing accountability and responsible use of digital platforms in presenting organizational accomplishments.

The LEAPS program supports the University’s mission of holistic and student-centered education by developing leadership, communication, and governance skills beyond the classroom. It reflects the core values of Excellence through quality standards and recognition, Mindfulness through responsible documentation and ethical publishing, Unity by bringing student organizations together toward shared goals, and Service by empowering student leaders to manage initiatives effectively and transparently.
