Psychology meets carnival in CAS booth fair showcase

CAS Psychological Society

The CAS Psychological Society transformed the University Twin Court into a carnival-inspired learning space called “PSYRCUS” during the 79th Foundation Week of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, held Feb. 9–13, 2026, to creatively connect psychological concepts with interactive games and student engagement.

Students, faculty and visitors filled the fairgrounds, where PSYRCUS quickly became a crowd favorite for its lively atmosphere and educational activities.

One of the most popular attractions, PsyColorist, combined a color-based dice game with psychology trivia, allowing participants to test both luck and knowledge. Players placed tickets on symbols, cheered during dice rolls and answered questions that linked gameplay to classroom lessons.

Pag-PSYCH-kapan Mo, a memory flip game, challenged participants to match photos of famous psychologists within 30 seconds. Winners received prizes such as stuffed toys and bubble sticks, while others took home candies and biscuits.

Freud’s Triple Shot tested participants’ understanding of psychoanalytic theory as they classified scenarios into Id, Ego or Superego before shooting balls into labeled buckets for a chance to win jackpot prizes.

Beyond the structured games, PSYRCUS featured “Sing-kolohiya” karaoke sessions, the “Siko-laya” Freedom Wall and a themed photo wall with a clown cut-out that encouraged self-expression and camaraderie.

“Our goal was to make psychology accessible and enjoyable for everyone,” a society representative said. “We wanted people to learn while having fun.”

Through PSYRCUS, the CAS Psychological Society created a meaningful and engaging space that blended theory, creativity and celebration during Foundation Week.

The initiative reflected the University’s commitment to Excellence, Unity and Mindfulness by promoting creative, inclusive and interactive learning experiences. It also embodied transformative and student-centered education as students translated academic knowledge into experiential activities for the wider campus community.
