Graduate students from the Master of Library and Information Science program of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation presented their research studies during the 2025 MLIS Research Colloquium on Nov. 15, at the University Library Seminar Hall to strengthen scholarly engagement in Philippine librarianship.

LIB.COM organized the colloquium, which carried the theme “Seminar on Philippine Librarianship.”

The activity served as an academic platform for MLIS students to share their theses and present scholarly insights on contemporary issues and innovations in Library and Information Science.

Seven MLIS students presented their research papers before a panel composed of five faculty members and librarians.

During the presentations, panelists provided constructive critiques and recommendations to help students refine and improve their research papers.

The feedback also helped reinforce academic standards while strengthening students’ communication skills, confidence and commitment to scholarly work.

The colloquium highlighted the role of research in addressing current challenges and developments in Philippine librarianship.

Through the activity, MSEUF reaffirmed its commitment to promoting academic excellence, research engagement and professional development among future library and information science professionals.

The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Excellence, Mindfulness and Fortitude by encouraging graduate students to pursue research, accept scholarly feedback and contribute to the development of their profession. It also supported outcomes-oriented education by helping students strengthen research competence, professional communication and academic confidence.
