MSEUF Communication Society helps new students adjust to university life
The MSEUF Communication Society welcomed first-year and transfer students during a campus activity held on July 21 to help newcomers adjust to university life and become familiar with departmental facilities.
The activity primarily catered to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Communication, providing assistance in locating classrooms and learning more about the department’s offices, services, and learning resources.
To create a welcoming atmosphere at the start of the academic year, the organization distributed free coffee and stickers to students who visited the activity area. A “Spin the Wheel” booth further engaged participants, offering prizes such as school supplies, keychains, and pins exclusively for communication students.
Organizers said the activity aimed to ease the transition of new students while fostering a sense of belonging within the department. The initiative also allowed members of the Communication Society to interact with freshmen and transferees, strengthening peer support and departmental connection.
The activity supports Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s mission of holistic and student-centered education by helping new students transition smoothly into university life. It reflects the core values of Unity by fostering peer connection, Service by providing guidance and support, Mindfulness by responding to students’ needs during adjustment, and Excellence by encouraging active student leadership and engagement.
