Officers and representatives from the MSEUF Association of Multimedia Artists and Technologists participated in the “Empowered Ako S.A.-E.U.: Strengthening Abilities of EU Peers” Peer Facilitators’ Training Program on Feb. 20 at the Office of Student Affairs and Services Conference Room to strengthen leadership, responsibility and community involvement among student leaders.

The training centered on the theme “I.C.A.R.E.: Insights, Compassion, Awareness, Resilience, and Empowerment.”

Five MASTECH officers and representatives joined the activity, which focused on the role of peer facilitators in building a more supportive student community.

Kristine Gail Racella Riego facilitated the session and guided participants through discussions on leadership, empathy, communication and service.

The program helped participants deepen their understanding of their responsibilities as peer facilitators while improving communication and collaboration among student leaders.

Through the activity, students strengthened their commitment to serving others and fostering a more engaged, compassionate and supportive university environment.

The initiative primarily benefited the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies by encouraging service-oriented leadership and stronger peer connections among learners.

The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service, Unity and Excellence by helping student leaders develop empathy, responsibility and collaborative leadership. It also supported student-centered learning by equipping students with practical peer support and communication skills that contribute to a caring campus community.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – The training supported peer connection and emotional support within the student community.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education – The activity provided leadership and communication learning beyond the classroom.
  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – The program promoted responsible leadership, empathy and trust-building among student peer facilitators.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – The initiative strengthened collaboration between OSAS, MASTECH and student leaders in supporting learner welfare.
