Students from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts showcased creativity and cultural pride during an on-the-spot poster-making contest held Aug. 29 at CAFA Building Room 205.

Organized by the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary–MSEUF Chapter, the competition carried the theme “Likha’t Diwa: Wika’t Kultura: Pundasyon ng Ating Pagkakakilanlan” in celebration of Buwan ng Wika.

Fourteen students participated in the contest, which served as a creative platform for expressing Filipino identity, culture, and traditions through visual art. Participants competed using traditional and digital mediums, allowing them to merge customary artistic practices with modern techniques.

Organizers said the activity aimed to promote appreciation of the Filipino language and heritage while encouraging originality, innovation, and individuality. Contestants were challenged to produce original works within a limited time, testing their creativity and ability to perform under pressure.

The competition was deemed successful as participants demonstrated strong creativity and originality in their outputs. Organizers noted that the activity also helped build students’ confidence and readiness for future creative projects while strengthening interest in preserving Filipino traditions.

The activity supports Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s mission of holistic and student-centered education by providing a platform for creative expression and cultural engagement. It reflects the core values of Excellence through artistic innovation, Mindfulness through cultural awareness, Unity by celebrating shared heritage, and Service by promoting appreciation of Filipino identity within the academic community.
