CBA Fiesta promotes entrepreneurship despite weather disruption
Lucena City, Philippines—The College of Business and Accountancy of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation held its annual CBA Fiesta 2025 from Sept. 24 to 26 at the CET Building, highlighting student creativity, unity, and entrepreneurial skills.
With the theme “Witchful Thinking: A CBA Fiesta of Wiz-ness and Magic,” the three-day celebration featured performances, interactive activities, and organizational booths that strengthened school spirit among CBA students.
Among the participating groups, the Junior Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (JFINEX) showcased its entrepreneurial initiative through a siren-themed booth that attracted students and visitors. Members sold beverages, musubi, necklaces, keychains, and assorted snacks as part of their business activity.
Booth operations were limited to the first day following the suspension of classes due to a suspected typhoon. Despite the shortened participation, JFINEX members demonstrated teamwork and adaptability in managing their operations.
Organizers said future editions of the CBA Fiesta may consider contingency measures such as online promotions or pre-order systems to help sustain entrepreneurial activities during weather-related disruptions. The CBA Fiesta remains a campus tradition that promotes camaraderie, innovation, and practical business experience among students.
The CBA Fiesta supports the University’s mission of producing industry-ready graduates by providing students with hands-on entrepreneurial experience and opportunities for collaboration. It reflects the core values of Excellence through practical business application, Unity through collective participation, Mindfulness through adaptability to challenges, and Service by fostering responsible and ethical student entrepreneurship.
