LEAPS program boosts leadership, accountability among MSEUF student organizations

Junior Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines – Enverga Chapter

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation conducted the Leadership Advancement Program and Services (LEAPS) and the awarding of certificates for accredited student organizations on Jan. 9 at the University Library Seminar Hall.

The seminar gathered 70 participants from various accredited student organizations and aimed to strengthen leadership skills, digital communication, and organizational accountability across the University.

The program opened with a Microsite Training for Accredited Student Organizations, followed by a workshop on news writing and website posting facilitated by Mr. Simon Romuel Uy. Participants were guided on proper content creation and publishing standards and were required to produce news articles featuring their organizations’ previous activities as part of their accreditation requirements.

Following the training, the University formally recognized accredited student organizations through the awarding of certificates, acknowledging their active participation and contributions during the previous school year.

The activity concluded with a general assembly that discussed guidelines on the submission of documents for organizations conducting off-campus activities. University officials emphasized the importance of complying with prescribed timelines to ensure the timely processing of official papers.

Organizers said the LEAPS program enhanced students’ competencies in news writing, website management, and documentation of organizational activities. The requirement to publish articles reinforced accountability and encouraged organizations to maintain accurate records aligned with accreditation standards.

The accreditation awarding served as motivation for student leaders, fostering a culture of excellence and sustained engagement, while the general assembly clarified administrative procedures to help prevent compliance issues in future activities.

The LEAPS program supports the University’s mission of holistic and student-centered education by developing leadership, communication, and organizational management skills beyond the classroom. It reflects the core values of Excellence through quality standards and accountability, Mindfulness through responsible documentation and compliance, Unity by bringing student organizations together toward shared goals, and Service by empowering student leaders to manage initiatives effectively and ethically.
