EUSNA boosts medical screening efforts for campus 2025 intramurals

The Enverga University Student Nurses Association of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation assisted in medical consultations for Intramurals 2025 participants from Oct. 13 to Nov. 3, at the University Clinic to help ensure the health and safety of student-athletes.
The initiative, conducted in partnership with the Medical and Dental Services Department, mobilized 65 EUSNA officers and member volunteers who supported the university’s annual medical screening.
The screening assessed participants’ physical readiness and identified potential health risks, including undiagnosed conditions and unresolved injuries that could affect performance during competitions.
Supervised by University Nurse Reynold Reforma, EUSNA volunteers assisted clinic personnel and physicians by managing patient flow, organizing queues, documenting records, collecting vital signs and addressing inquiries.
“This experience allowed our students to apply their clinical knowledge while supporting a critical university activity,” Reforma said.
Participants came from second-, third- and fourth-year levels to ensure adequate clinical knowledge and skills. Officers monitored volunteers throughout the activity to maintain efficiency, safety and quality care.
Organizers said the collaboration improved clinic operations and ensured that patients received timely and organized services. The activity also gave nursing students hands-on experience in communication, teamwork and basic clinical practice.
The initiative benefited intramural athletes, clinic staff and student volunteers while reinforcing the University’s commitment to a safe and health-conscious campus environment.
The activity reflected the University’s core values of Service, Excellence and Unity by allowing students to contribute to campus health initiatives through practical service. It also supported outcomes-oriented education by providing real-world clinical experience aligned with students’ professional training.
