IIEE welcomes freshmen and transferees through OSAlubong 2025

Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers

The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers conducted OSALubong 2025 on July 21 to welcome incoming first-year and transferee students and help them transition into campus life.

The in-campus activity was facilitated by 22 third-year and 25 fourth-year IIEE members who organized the event as part of the organization’s regular student engagement projects. Tables, tarpaulins, interactive games, and free giveaways were set up to create a lively and welcoming environment for new students.

O-Salubong 2025 provided freshmen and transferees the opportunity to meet fellow students, learn about departmental activities and support systems, and begin building connections within the engineering community. Organizers designed the program to encourage open interaction and active participation.

Organizers said the activity helped new students feel comfortable and familiar with their academic environment while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the department. The event strengthened students’ sense of belonging and supported efforts to build a supportive engineering community.

The activity reflects the University’s commitment to Unity and Service by creating a welcoming space for new students and encouraging peer support. It also demonstrates Mindfulness and Excellence as student leaders help ease transitions and promote inclusive engagement within the academic community.
