EUSNA booth adds interactive welcome for nursing freshmen at Osalubong

Enverga University Student Nurses Association

The Enverga University Student Nurses Association (EUSNA) actively participated in Osalubong 2025, welcoming newly enrolled students at the main campus of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation on July 21 and Aug. 8.

Osalubong is an annual university tradition that marks the opening of the academic year by greeting incoming students. This year’s activities included the First Day of Classes Welcome on July 21 and the General Freshmen Orientation on Aug. 8.

A total of 31 EUSNA officers and member volunteers took part in the event, setting up a booth dedicated to nursing freshmen. The booth aimed to provide a welcoming space where new students could feel comfortable while learning more about the nursing community and student life within the department.

To encourage participation, EUSNA organized a Question-and-Answer “Spin the Wheel” game featuring simple nursing-related and general knowledge questions. Students who answered correctly earned a chance to spin the wheel and win prizes. Organizers said the activity helped break the ice and foster interaction among freshmen.

EUSNA also distributed giveaways and oriented students on the organization’s mission, vision, and planned activities. The booth served as a platform to introduce EUSNA’s role in supporting nursing students throughout their academic journey.

Through its participation, EUSNA helped create a welcoming and engaging environment for incoming nursing students. Organizers said the activity reflected the organization’s commitment to guiding and inspiring future nurses while contributing to the University’s tradition of student support and community building.

The activity supports the University’s mission of holistic and student-centered education by easing students’ transition into university life and fostering early engagement within academic communities. It reflects the core values of Service through peer guidance, Unity by building connections among students, Mindfulness through a supportive and inclusive welcome, and Excellence by nurturing leadership and professionalism among student volunteers.
