EUSNA joins tree planting for MSEUF’s 79th founding anniversary

Enverga University Student Nurses Association (EUSNA) joined a university-wide tree planting activity at the MSEUF Forest Research Site to support environmental sustainability and mark the 79th founding anniversary of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation.
EUSNA sent two officers to represent the organization alongside delegates from various student organizations, university administrators, faculty members, employees and alumni.
Organizers held the activity to strengthen environmental awareness and support long-term conservation efforts through reforestation and responsible land use.
The University partnered with the Philippine Coconut Authority, which donated dwarf coconut seedlings for planting. The partnership was formalized through a memorandum of agreement signing that highlighted a shared commitment to sustainability and agricultural development.
The program opened at the Alumni Building, where university officials stressed the value of environmental stewardship and collective action. Participants then proceeded to the forest research site for the tree planting proper.
Under the supervision of Rolando Remojo, CNAHS faculty member and CES coordinator, delegates planted coconut seedlings in designated areas to help enhance the forest research site and support its long-term ecological goals.
A closing session and awarding ceremony followed to recognize participating student organizations and partners.
Organizers said the activity strengthened collaboration among stakeholders and gave participants hands-on experience in environmental advocacy, teamwork and community engagement.
The project supported environmental preservation and sustainable campus development while reinforcing partnerships with government agencies. The Office of Student Organizations provided the materials and logistical support, so EUSNA incurred no expenses for the activity.
The activity reflected the University’s core values of Service, Unity and Fortitude by bringing together students, employees and partners for a shared environmental cause. It also supported transformative and outcomes-oriented education by giving students direct experience in sustainability work beyond the classroom.
