Enverga University holds third Innovation Challenge
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, through the Research Publication, Incubation, and Utilization Center, organized the third Enverga University Innovation Challenge on April 16, to gather student innovators developing solutions for real-world community and industry challenges.
The competition carried the theme “Future-Proof Innovation: Transforming Ideas into Sustainable and Resilient Communities.”
The event highlighted the importance of innovation in promoting sustainability, resilience and long-term community impact.
Out of 23 competing teams, nine outstanding teams from various academic programs and disciplines advanced to the final round.
The finalists worked with their peer mentors and faculty mentors to refine their concepts before presenting their proposals to a panel of judges.
Five officers from the MSEUF Association of Multimedia Artists and Technologists, together with representatives from the Enverga University Computer Engineering Society, assisted in the facilitation of the event, focusing on logistics and documentation.
Team COCIFERA Cooling Solutions Inc. emerged as champion, followed by Team GasGuard in second place and Team Katuwang Automations in third place.
Special awards were also given to recognize creativity and strong presentation skills. Team NVM received the Best Startup Logo award, while Team GasGuard earned the Best Startup Pitch Deck recognition.
Jamir Ivan Obcemea of Team COCIFERA Cooling Solutions Inc. was named Best Pitch Presenter for his delivery during the final pitching round.
Through the Innovation Challenge, the university continued to provide a platform for students to develop purpose-driven ideas and create solutions that may contribute to communities and industries in the future.
The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Excellence, Unity and Fortitude by encouraging students to develop innovative ideas, collaborate with mentors and present solutions with confidence. It also supported outcomes-oriented education by helping learners transform classroom knowledge into practical, sustainable and community-centered innovations.
