The CAS Psychological Society participated in “HANDS-UP EU: A Unified Program for Healthy, Abuse-Negative, Drug-Free, and Smoke-Free Enverga University” on March 11 at the AEC Little Theater to strengthen student awareness, discipline and responsibility.

The program featured a series of seminars on key issues affecting today’s youth, including the harmful effects of tobacco and vape use, drug abuse prevention and responsible decision-making.

Resource speakers also discussed the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003 and the Anti-Hazing Law to help participants understand the legal consequences of harmful and unsafe behaviors.

Through the activity, CPS officers and members gained valuable insights on health, safety, social responsibility and informed decision-making.

The program also encouraged student organizations to support a campus culture grounded in care, accountability and student welfare.

By joining the initiative, CPS reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a healthier, safer and more responsible university community.

The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service, Unity and Fortitude by encouraging students to make responsible choices and work together in protecting the well-being of the student body. It also supported student-centered learning by providing practical knowledge on health, safety, legal awareness and personal responsibility.

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being – The program promoted awareness of substance abuse prevention, smoke-free practices and student wellness.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education – The seminars provided learning beyond the classroom through discussions on health, safety, laws and responsible behavior.
  • SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions – The activity strengthened awareness of laws that protect students from trafficking, hazing and harmful practices.
  • SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals – The program brought student organizations and university offices together in promoting a safer and healthier campus community.
