Council of English Enthusiasts strengthens leadership continuity
The Council of English Enthusiasts formally inducted 12 novices during an acceptance ceremony held Sept. 6 at AEC 206 to strengthen camaraderie, ensure leadership continuity and prepare members for collaborative project work.
The in-campus activity gathered 15 guilders and 12 novices and served as the organization’s official welcoming of new members. The ceremony provided opportunities for interaction between senior guilders and incoming novices, reinforcing a shared sense of belonging and commitment within the council.
During the program, organizers assigned committees to both guilders and newly inducted members to define roles and responsibilities early in the academic year. The structured assignments aimed to support the smooth implementation of future projects while allowing novices to engage immediately in meaningful organizational work.
Participants rated the activity positively, earning an average evaluation score of 4.26. The event incurred no expenses and relied solely on volunteer participation.
The activity aligns with Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s mission of holistic and student-centered education by immersing learners in hands-on organizational experiences. It reflects the University’s educational philosophy of learning by doing and outcomes-oriented education, while advancing the core values of Unity through collaboration, Excellence through leadership preparation, and Mindfulness through intentional community building.
