Online meeting strengthens preparation for CAS Batas Militar activity
The CAS Social Sciences Society conducted an online preparatory meeting for its upcoming Batas Militar event on Sept. 22, 2025, from 4 to 5 p.m. via Google Meet, gathering a total of 67 participants from the College of Arts and Sciences.
The meeting was attended by 32 official members of the CAS Social Sciences Society and 35 members of the Political Science Society. Organizers said the activity aimed to align all committees and participants by assigning responsibilities and clarifying specific tasks in preparation for the main event.
During the discussion, officers outlined the program flow, committee roles, and individual responsibilities to ensure smooth coordination. Members were encouraged to raise concerns and seek clarification, allowing organizers to identify preparation gaps and address them early in the planning process.
Organizers noted that the meeting strengthened collaboration, accountability, and proactive communication among members of both organizations. By the end of the session, participants were well-informed of their roles and the expectations for the upcoming activity.
The online meeting contributed to a more organized and efficient preparation process and supported the event’s broader goal of promoting awareness, critical reflection, and democratic values among students.
The activity supports the University’s mission of holistic and student-centered education by engaging students in collaborative planning, critical discussion, and responsible leadership. It reflects the core values of Unity through inter-organization cooperation, Excellence through structured and well-coordinated preparation, Mindfulness by addressing concerns and gaps early, and Service by ensuring the delivery of a meaningful and educational activity for the academic community.
