CAS Psychological Society joins Sustainable Futures Summit

The CAS Psychological Society sent two representatives to the 1st Enverga University Sustainable Futures Summit on Feb. 27, at the AEC Little Theater to deepen their understanding of sustainability, innovation and responsible leadership.
The daylong summit gathered student leaders and participants from the university community to discuss pressing issues on sustainability and the role of young leaders in creating future-ready solutions.
For the CPS representatives, the activity provided an opportunity to connect psychological principles and social responsibility with environmental advocacy.
One of the featured sessions, “Insatiable Greed,” was led by GoodGov Philippines Chairperson Bryan Ezra Gonzales, who discussed the effects of corruption and corporate actions on the country’s natural resources.
During the open forum, CPS Secretary Kyla raised a question on leadership, highlighting the importance of ethical governance in building a sustainable future.
The summit also encouraged interaction among participants through shared discussions, photo opportunities and the distribution of summit materials that representatives could use to share key learnings with their organization.
Through its participation, CPS supported the university’s mission to cultivate responsible leadership, environmental awareness and active student engagement in sustainability efforts.
The activity reflected Enverga University’s core values of Mindfulness, Excellence and Service by encouraging students to think critically about sustainability, ethical leadership and their role in nation-building. It also supported transformative learning by helping student leaders connect classroom knowledge with real-world environmental and social issues.
