CED, CMAS fulfill children’s wishes through community outreach

Criminology Martial Arts Society

The Community Extension and Development (CED), in partnership with the Criminology Martial Arts Society (CMAS), implemented a community extension project focused on fulfilling the wishes of randomly selected children from a chosen school to promote care, compassion, and community support.

The initiative aimed to bring joy and emotional encouragement to the beneficiaries by responding to their simple wishes. Organizers said the activity created meaningful moments for the children while fostering a positive and supportive environment grounded in empathy and kindness.

Beyond its impact on the beneficiaries, the project strengthened collaboration between CED and CMAS and provided students with hands-on experience in community engagement. Through active participation, students were able to translate values of service and social responsibility into concrete action.

Organizers noted that the project not only uplifted the children but also deepened students’ understanding of empathy, volunteerism, and the importance of community-centered initiatives.

The project aligns with Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s mission of community service and holistic education by engaging students in meaningful outreach activities. It reflects the core values of Service through direct assistance to beneficiaries, Mindfulness through empathy and compassion, Unity through collaboration between university units and student organizations, and Excellence by nurturing socially responsible student leaders.
