MSEUF Adopt-a-Scholarship and financial assistance initiative that helps financially challenged yet deserving students continue their education at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation.
Administered by the Center for Scholarship, Career and Job Placement Services, formerly known as OSEJPAR, the program connects generous individuals, families, alumni, organizations, foundations, and corporate partners with qualified Envergan students who need educational support.
Through the program, donors can help students remain in school, complete their degree, and move closer to achieving their personal and professional goals.
About the program
The Adopt-a-Scholar Program provides financial assistance to:
-
Underprivileged yet deserving MSEUF students;
-
Students who temporarily lost their scholarships because they were unable to meet certain academic requirements; and
-
Students whose current scholarship benefits do not fully cover their educational needs.
Financial assistance is granted for one semester. It may be renewed for an additional semester depending on the availability of funds and the scholar’s academic performance.
Who may qualify?
The MSEUF Scholarship Committee evaluates applicants according to the following criteria:
-
Economic status and demonstrated financial need;
-
Good academic standing;
-
Enrollment in at least 18 academic units or the number of units required by the student’s curriculum; and
-
Compliance with the University’s scholarship policies and requirements.
Former program beneficiaries may reapply for assistance. Current scholarship beneficiaries may also apply for additional financial support when their existing benefits are insufficient to cover their educational needs.
Selection and approval process
Applications are received and initially screened by the Center for Scholarship, Career and Job Placement Services and the Office of the Vice President for External Relations.
After the initial screening, the list of qualified candidates is forwarded to the MSEUF Scholarship Committee for further evaluation and recommendation. The selection of program grantees remains subject to the approval of the University president.
For renewal, scholars must maintain good academic standing, as certified by the University Registrar, and remain enrolled in at least 18 academic units or the number prescribed by their program curriculum.
