Highlighting the University’s continuing pursuit of research excellence and sustainable educational innovation, faculty researchers from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) earned multiple distinctions at the C.U.B.E. Asian Research and Innovation for Sustainable Education (ARISE) Congress 2026, held on Oct. 1–2 at the University of Baguio in Baguio City.

Held under the theme, “Building Resilient and Humanitarian Learning Communities through Research and Sustainable Innovations,” the congress brought together educators, researchers and innovators from across Asia to present studies and share research-based approaches addressing emerging challenges in education and community development.

MSEUF researchers presented studies under various research categories, demonstrating the breadth of research being conducted within the University and its application to sustainable and transformative education.

Dr. Ramela B. Ramirez earned 1st Place in the Sustainable Innovation and Educational Transformation category and was also recognized as Best Presenter. Jahzeel L. Sarmiento and Kristine Gail R. Riego placed 2nd in the Gender and Development category and received the Best Paper award.

In the Sustainable Innovation and Educational Transformation category, Dr. Divina J. Glifonea earned 2nd Place and Best Paper, while Dr. James Louie Meneses received 3rd Place and was recognized as Best Presenter.

The studies presented during the congress were outputs of research projects funded by MSEUF through the Dr. Cesar A. Villariba Research and Knowledge Management Institute (DCAVRKMI). The participation provided faculty researchers with an avenue to present university-supported research to a broader academic audience and engage in discussions on sustainable and innovative approaches to education.

The recognition received by the researchers reflects the quality and relevance of MSEUF’s research initiatives while highlighting the role of faculty research in generating knowledge that can respond to educational, social and sustainability concerns.

Through participation in research congresses and other scholarly platforms, MSEUF faculty researchers gain opportunities to exchange knowledge, present evidence-based findings and contribute to broader conversations on resilient, inclusive and sustainable learning communities.

The activity supported MSEUF’s commitment to research-driven and transformative education by providing faculty researchers with opportunities to share their work, engage with fellow researchers and contribute research-based perspectives to contemporary educational challenges. It also reflected the University’s core values of Excellence and Service through the pursuit of quality research and the use of knowledge to address the needs of learners and communities.
