MSEUF benchmarks with Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia to advance global engagement

Continuing its mission to build globally competitive academic programs, a delegation from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) visited Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) for a benchmarking activity focused on research, publications, academic exchange, and student-faculty mobility, May 14. 

The benchmarking session was part of MSEUF’s broader internationalization strategy and was warmly hosted by UniKL’s academic leaders, including Dr. Tong Woei Yenn, Dr. Nadia Razali, and their Director.

The UniKL team facilitated in-depth discussions and knowledge-sharing on best practices in global academic collaboration.

MSEUF delegation included Atty. Dario Opistan, vice president for administration; Dr. Feliberto Mercado, associate dean of graduate school and dean of Dr. Cesar A. Villariba Research and Knowledge Management Institute; Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala, assistant to the vice president for academics and research; and Dr. Jennifer Reyes, officer-in-charge of the Office of Special Internationalization Projects.

“MSEUF is committed to building strategic partnerships that allow our students and faculty to thrive in a rapidly globalizing academic landscape,” said Dr. Ayala.

“Our benchmarking visit to UniKL is an important step toward ensuring that our international initiatives are grounded in excellence and relevance.” Dr. 

The meeting provided an opportunity for both institutions to explore future joint programs, faculty collaborations, and research initiatives. Emphasis was placed on how international partnerships can foster innovation, cross-cultural learning, and mutual development in higher education.

The visit was part of a multi-day academic mission in Malaysia, which also includes partnership renewal with INTI International University and other collaborative engagements with regional academic institutions.
