CIHTM students complete 14-day 'EU FLIGHT Program' on sustainable tourism in Thailand
Chinee Marie Alonso, Kirstine Faith Asilo, Shairine Joyce Catapang, Nicole Abygail España, and Clark Nathan Ranola proudly represented Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) in the EU FLIGHT Program on Student Mobility for Sustainable Tourism, held at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in Samut Prakan, Thailand, May 24 to June 6.
Their completion of the 14-day international immersion marks a significant academic milestone and reflects their growing commitment to sustainable development, where they participated in cross-cultural learning sessions, workshops on sustainable tourism practices, and collaborative projects with fellow students from across the globe.
The program provided not only academic enrichment but also cultural exchanges, reinforcing each participant’s role as a future advocate of responsible tourism as they engaged in solution-based dialogues, explored heritage sites, and proposed innovative ideas for tourism sustainability, they carried with them the values of MSEUF—Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity, and Fortitude.
“Their presence in the program brought pride to our University and the Philippines,” Dr. Jennifer Reyes, Officer-in-Charge of Special Internationalization Projects, said “We are confident that the knowledge and insights they have gained will contribute to our local tourism practices and inspire others to champion sustainable development.” Dr. Reyes added.
MSEUF commends these students for their dedication, passion, and representation of the University on an international platform. Their participation in this global program not only strengthens our institution’s academic linkages but also supports our mission to produce globally aware and socially responsible graduates.
