MSEUF strengthens internationalization efforts; benchmarks UiTM Malaysia
As part of its continuous efforts to expand internationalization initiatives, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) delegation visited Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Selangor, Malaysia, May 16.
The benchmarking visit focused on exploring UiTM’s best practices in global engagement, institutional development, and strategic collaboration.
The four-member MSEUF team was composed of Atty. Dario Opistan, Vice President for Administration; Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala, Assistant to the Vice President for Academics and Research; Dr. Felixberto Mercado, Dean of the DCAV Research and Knowledge Management Institute; and Dr. Jennifer Reyes, Officer-in-Charge of Special Internationalization Projects.
Dr. Norazida Mohamed, UiTM Assistant Vice Chancellor. welcomed the MSEUF delegation, together with Dr. Wan Fairos Wan Yaacob, Director for Strategic Partnership; Dr. Wan Ahmad Nasroun B. Wan Salman, Head of Strategic Operations; Dr. Siti Noor Suzila Binti, Head of Student Exchange Programme; Dr. Mohd Raziff Jmalludin, Head of Corporate Communication and Event Management; Dr. Shamsul Baharin Saihani, Deputy Director of Consultancy and Training; Dr. Norashirene Mohamad Jamil, Head of Strategy and Communications; Mrs. Nor Aini Kusaini, Executive Officer; and Dr. Liyana Mohd Ghazali, in charge of Student Internship programs.
The discussions centered on strengthening global academic ties through initiatives such as research collaborations, faculty and student mobility, joint academic programs, and participation in international conferences. UiTM also expressed interest in formalizing future cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and encouraged the submission of a letter of intent to initiate faculty and staff exchange programs.
- This engagement is part of MSEUF’s broader internationalization agenda under its EU FLIGHT (Enverga University’s Framework for Leading Innovations in Global Harmonization and Transition) program, which aims to equip students and faculty with global perspectives and competencies through real-world academic exposure.

This benchmarking initiative supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by fostering institutional learning and academic excellence, SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the establishment of international academic alliances, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by encouraging innovative institutional practices, and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by expanding global learning opportunities for Envergans.
