MSEUF Alumni Association empowers students through scholarship assistance

In a commendable move, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Alumni Association has extended a helping hand to deserving students at the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CCJC).
The MSEUF Alumni Association has awarded scholarship assistance of PHP 5,000.00 each to eight students from CCJC for the second semester of the Academic Year 2023-2024.
The generous scholarship grant stems from the MSEUF Alumni ID Project, in which 210 alumni from CCJC actively participated. A portion of the proceeds from this initiative is earmarked for financial assistance, specifically benefiting students within the same college or departments.
Dr. Henedina A. Lagumen, the Dean of the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice, recommended the Scholarship Assistance Program (SAP) for this semester. The grant was based on the students' grades, active participation in the college’s programs, and their financial needs.
The SAP, a brainchild of former MSEUF Alumni President Felix Versoza, has garnered support from successive officers who see it as a vital educational support system for deserving students.
Under Versoza's leadership, the SAP aims to serve at least 10% of the school population, aligning with the association’s commitment to promoting academic excellence. The MSEUF Alumni Project, initiated in 2019, encourages alumni to participate in the Alumni ID program, with proceeds directed towards a scholarship assistance fund.
Since its inception, the project has already made a significant impact, benefiting a total of 30 students under the Office of Job Placements, Scholarship & Endowment, and Alumni Relations, with Director Maria Isabel D. Granada operating under the Vice President for External Relations.
This initiative not only highlights the dedication of MSEUF alumni to give back to their alma mater but also underscores the power of collective support in nurturing the educational dreams of promising students within the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology. The MSEUF Alumni Association’s commitment to promoting a culture of learning and excellence continues to shine through these impactful scholarship initiatives.

- SDG 1: No Poverty - By providing financial assistance to students through the MSEUF Alumni Association’s scholarship program, the initiative works towards reducing poverty by ensuring that education, a key tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, is accessible to more individuals.
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals - The collaboration between the MSEUF Alumni Association, alumni from the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology, and the university administration demonstrates the importance of partnerships in achieving sustainable development objectives, particularly in the realm of education and supporting students through scholarship initiatives.
