OSAS reinforces 'strong stance' against hazing

Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) reinforced its strong stance against hazing, emphasizing the importance of a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Hazing is explicitly prohibited under Republic Act No. 8049, the Anti-Hazing Law, which was further strengthened by Republic Act No. 11053, also known as the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018.

OSAS remains committed to upholding these laws, working to protect students from harmful practices and ensuring that the university remains a space where everyone feels secure.

"Our dedication to student safety is unwavering," said Joane FE Panganiban, Director of OSAS. "We call on every member of the university to stand with us in fostering a culture of respect and safety."

In line with this, OSAS encourages all students, faculty, and staff to take part in promoting a supportive and safe environment, where harmful traditions like hazing have no place. By working together, the university aims to build a community grounded in mutual respect and care for one another.
