The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) is an undergraduate teacher education degree program designed to prepare individuals intending to teach in the elementary level. The program aims to develop competent teachers specializing in the content and pedagogy for elementary education.

    Entry Level

    • Elementary School Teacher: Entry-level teachers work in primary or elementary schools, educating students in various subjects and grade levels.
    • Teaching Assistant: Teaching assistants provide support to classroom teachers by helping with classroom management, preparing materials, and assisting students with their lessons.
    • Tutor: Entry-level tutors may work with students individually or in small groups to provide additional academic support and reinforcement.
    • Preschool Teacher: Some B.Ed. graduates choose to work as preschool teachers, focusing on early childhood education for children aged 3-5.

    • Grade Level Coordinator: Grade level coordinators oversee a specific grade or group of teachers, helping to plan curriculum and coordinate activities.
    • Curriculum Developer: Curriculum developers create educational materials and resources, designing lesson plans and assessments.
    • Department Head: Department heads lead a specific subject area within a school, supervising teachers, and managing curriculum development.
    • Education Program Coordinator: Program coordinators manage and oversee various educational programs within a school or district, ensuring they run smoothly.

    Senior Level

    • Vice Principal: Vice principals assist the school principal in administrative duties, discipline, and overall school management.
    • Principal: School principals are responsible for the overall leadership and administration of a school, managing staff, students, and resources.
    • Education Consultant: Senior-level B.Ed. graduates may work as education consultants, advising schools and organizations on educational strategies and practices.
    • Education Supervisor: Education supervisors oversee curriculum development, teacher training, and program implementation in a school district.
    • Director of Education: Directors of education are responsible for the education department of a school district, setting policies and overseeing educational initiatives.

    Managerial/Executive Positions

    • Superintendent: Superintendents are top-level executives in charge of overseeing an entire school district, including curriculum, budget, and staff.
    • Education Director for Nonprofits: In nonprofit organizations, education directors lead educational initiatives, programs, and partnerships.
    • Educational Administrator: Educational administrators may work in various roles, such as deans, provosts, or executive directors of educational institutions.
    • Education Researcher: Education researchers conduct research, analyze data, and contribute to educational policy development.
    • College or University Professor: B.Ed. graduates with advanced degrees may become college or university professors, teaching future educators and conducting research in education.
