Faculty, staff advance internationalization drive at MSEUF seminar
Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) conducted a seminar titled Global Vision, Local Action: A Seminar for Faculty and Employees on Jan. 30, 2026, at the DTYES Alumni Hall, with 80 university administrators, faculty members, and non-teaching personnel in attendance.
The program featured Dr. Engelbert Pasag, vice president for internationalization of Panpacific University, president of EduCommunity Plus Consulting Inc., and president of Ylang Ylang Library and Innovation Hub Association, as the guest resource speaker.
Vice President for External Relations Celso D. Jaballa formally opened the seminar with a welcome message, highlighting the University’s commitment to global engagement grounded in local relevance. An overview of MSEUF’s internationalization highlights followed, delivered by Dr. Jennifer B. Reyes, director of the Global Engagement Office and subject matter expert for organizational management, personal and professional development, community engagement, and global competitiveness. The program was hosted by Ms. Jonette Villamayor, who also introduced the guest speaker.
Dr. Pasag’s discussion focused on strengthening MSEUF’s internationalization efforts and was organized into four key segments: Global Landscape: Understanding Internationalization in Education and Leadership Mindset; Cultivating Effective Internationalization Skills; Tools for Action: Strategies for Internationalization; and Local Action Plan: Aligning with MSEUF’s Goals. The sessions encouraged participants to reflect on their roles in advancing global initiatives while remaining responsive to community needs.
The seminar concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Reyes, who emphasized the importance of collective action and shared responsibility in moving MSEUF’s internationalization agenda forward. The activity marked a fun, engaging, and fulfilling milestone in the University’s continuing journey toward global competitiveness.

The seminar supports SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening faculty and staff capacity for globally responsive teaching, leadership, and engagement. It also advances SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration with internationalization and innovation leaders, and reinforces SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by investing in continuous professional development that enhances institutional and workforce competitiveness.
