Enverga University, Bicol University strengthen ties through benchmarking dialogue

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation hosted a benchmarking visit from Bicol University at the IGSR Conference Room to exchange best practices on the University’s Equity Policy on Admission and strengthen institutional collaboration, Feb. 5. 

Representing Bicol University were Christian Calleja, acting dean of the College of Industrial Technology, and Kyle Reuben Bron, University Student Council chairperson and student regent.

Rey Marco Casino and Kenneza Gariguez from the Office of Student Affairs and Services led the discussion on MSEUF’s equity policy, presenting frameworks and initiatives that promote inclusive and equitable access to higher education.

Claudia Ayala, assistant to the vice president for academics and research, and Maria Isabel Granada, director of OSEJPAR, headed the session on academic exchange and collaboration. Representatives from the Registrar’s Office, Information and Communications Technology Division and the College of Education joined the dialogue and discussed admission systems, student services and digital platforms that address student concerns while supporting internationalization efforts.

Benilda Villenas, executive vice president, delivered the welcome message and emphasized the value of benchmarking in improving institutional performance and building meaningful partnerships.

Jennifer Reyes highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing internationalization initiatives. “Cooperative engagements among higher education institutions help us move closer to global academic standards,” she said.

Vice President Celso Jaballa closed the program and thanked the BU delegates, reaffirming MSEUF’s commitment to inclusivity, continuous improvement and sustained institutional partnerships.

The visit provided a platform for dialogue and knowledge sharing and reinforced the shared commitment of both universities to equity, innovation and excellence in higher education.\


The benchmarking activity reflected the University’s core values of Excellence, Unity and Mindfulness by promoting inclusive policies and collaborative growth. It also advanced the institution’s vision of global competitiveness through strategic partnerships and shared best practices.
