MSEUF AFFILIATE SCHOOLS TRAINING WORKSHOP ON RESEARCH PROPOSAL PREPARATION
The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) Affiliate Schools successfully conducted a two-day training workshop on research proposal preparation on September 9–10, 2025. The event sought to enhance the research capabilities of faculty members and strengthen the culture of scholarship across the MSEUF system.
In her welcome message, MSEUF Candelaria’s Dean of Studies, Dr. Crystal B. Quintana emphasized the significance of research in shaping innovative solutions and community engagement. She underscored that strong research proposals serve as the cornerstone of impactful academic contributions.
The workshop featured lectures and practical sessions facilitated by experts from the MSEUF main campus: Dr. Claudia Odette J. Aayala, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; Dean Rodrigo C. Belleza, Jr of the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies; and Mr. Jovit Callejo, faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences. Topics included research designs, AI in research, and statistics and data analysis.
Participants, representing various affiliate campuses, were given opportunities to draft and present initial research proposals. These outputs were subjected to peer and facilitator review, fostering collaboration and constructive feedback.
According to Dr. Felix M. Mercado, Dean of the Dr. Cesar A. Villariba Research and Knowledge Management Institute and research director of the MSEUF Affiliate Schools, the training aligns with MSEUF’s long-term strategy of improving research productivity among its affiliates. He stressed that equipping faculty members with proposal-writing skills will open more opportunities for external funding and publications in reputable journals.
Organized by the research Director of MSEUF Candelaria, Mr. Jonathan Cube, this initiative reaffirms MSEUF’s dedication to empowering its academic community through research-driven programs. Organizers confirmed that additional training sessions will be rolled out in the coming months to sustain momentum in building research capacity.
Attendees expressed gratitude for the workshop’s interactive approach and practical guidance. Certificates of participation were awarded, acknowledging the faculty’s commitment to advancing research in their respective institutions.
