Third-year CCJC students deepen discipline, community involvement in monthly formation, inspection
Third-year students of the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CCJC) at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) gathered for their monthly Formation and Inspection, held early in the morning of April 2025.
This recurring activity was designed not only to reinforce discipline, order, and professional decorum but also to nurture a spirit of service among future law enforcement professionals.
The session, which began promptly at 7:00 AM, was led by Mr. Dominador G. Termil Jr., Chairman of the Student Discipline Committee, in coordination with third-year curricular advisers Dr. Dennis Albert N. Gonzales and Ms. Fergelyn J. Canonigo.
The day opened with a detailed inspection of student grooming and appearance, emphasizing the critical value of presenting oneself with professionalism.
The students then participated in formation drills that focused on discipline, cooperation, and obedience, which are practical competencies expected of every individual in law enforcement, aimed at fostering camaraderie, coordination, and respect for hierarchy, all of which are vital when responding to real-life public safety scenarios.
The activity concluded with a clean-up drive around the rear area of the CCJC building. More than just a routine task, this segment of the activity demonstrated the students’ commitment to their role as community builders and caretakers of the environment. Through this, they reflected the university’s ideal of producing graduates who serve not only with authority, but with heart.
- This monthly initiative is part of CCJC’s holistic approach to criminal justice education. By merging technical preparedness with character development and community service, MSEUF continues to uphold its mission of shaping future professionals who will not only safeguard peace and order but also contribute to building more responsible and compassionate communities.
- This activity supports the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
- SDG 4 – Quality Education: By combining classroom learning with real-world preparation, CCJC enhances both the academic and ethical development of its students.
- SDG 16 – Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions: The formation activities directly contribute to shaping responsible, justice-oriented future public servants.
- SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: The clean-up drive highlights the role of students in maintaining a clean and safe environment, fostering a culture of civic responsibility.
