CCJC 4th-year students attend Statistical Treatment and Data Analysis seminar-workshop
As part of its Student Development Program, fourth-year students from the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology (CCJC) of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation attended a seminar-workshop on statistical treatment and data analysis on September 7.
The seminar-workshop, organized by Dr. Myracel J. Ramos, research adviser, and Dr. Monette G. Tenorio, department chair, aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to apply basic statistical treatment and data analysis in their ongoing research projects. This is participated by the research students currently enrolled in their CRIM 8 (Criminological Research and Statistics), it equiped the students with the basic knowledge of summarizing the data and interpret the gathered data through the used of analytical and logical reasoning.The event provided students with practical tools to handle research data effectively. This also helps student researchers illuminates patterns, trends, and relationships within the data and plays a pivotal role in shaping the outcomes and conclusions of research.
Mr. Jovit C. Callejo served as the resource speaker, guiding the students through various statistical methods and techniques applicable to their criminology research. The activity focused on preparing students to analyze data accurately, a critical skill in producing sound research outcomes.
This initiative supports the university’s mission to enhance the research capabilities of students by offering workshops that strengthen their academic development and readiness for future research work.
