CCJC, OSAS conducts mental health awareness seminar
To address mental health issues among students and promoting approaches to mental well-being, the Office of Student Affairs and the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology conducted a Mental Health Awareness Seminar at RBA Hall, Nov. 24.
PCPT Antonette S. Alino led the session, discussing common mental health challenges faced by students and providing strategies for managing these issues. Participants engaged in discussions and activities centered on mental wellness, gaining insights into recognizing and supporting mental health concerns in themselves and others.
The seminar supported Sustainable Development Goal 3 by promoting awareness of mental health and encouraging access to resources. It aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 by fostering a learning environment that prioritizes mental well-being. The collaboration between the Office of Student Affairs and the College of Criminal Justice and Criminology also highlighted the importance of partnerships in achieving these goals under Sustainable Development Goal 17.
The event emphasized the role of mental well-being in creating a supportive and productive university community.
