Fine Arts student among Top 25 finalists in Shell art contest

 

Bea Kathlin Sumilang, a third-year Fine Arts student major in Visual Communication from the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA), secured a spot among the top 25 finalists in the Digital Fine Arts category of the 56th Shell National Students Art Competition, in November 2023.

Sumilang bested 2,000 other entries with her digital design on the theme “Galing Pinoy, Galing Pinoy”.

"I am deeply honored and grateful for this recognition. Being selected as one of the top 25 finalists in a national competition is truly humbling. It inspires me to continue pursuing my passion for art and creativity,” Sumilang shared. 

“This success is dedicated to Enverga University. Without my beloved institution, I will not be able to express my talents and be exposed to this kind of opportunity,” she added.

The competition focuses on artworks that highlight local innovation and culture.
