Completed2023

Abstract

The study aims to determine the factors affecting the employment status of BS Criminology graduates in terms of family concerns, health-related reasons, lack of work experience, and low job opportunities. Aside from that, the study also seeks to assess the challenges or problems encountered by criminology graduates while looking for a job after graduation. The researchers adapted the Holland theory of Career Choices to give a comprehensive and cohesive discussion. Additionally, the study used a descriptive and quantitative approach to gather data on the problem concerning the existing conditions. At the same time, purposive sampling was used wherein 30 criminology graduates from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, Lucena City, were selected as the research population to determine their employment status after graduating. Moreover, due to the university's restrictions on conducting face-to-face surveys, the questionnaire will be administered online using Google Forms. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and statistical measures, particularly simple percentages and weighted mean.
