Abstract

This research is purposely created with the main objective of the researchers to identify the impact of flexible online learning to laboratory-based examination and activities among maritime students of a university in Region 4A. The study will use simple random sampling. This research is quantitative research with the instrument which is a survey questionnaire to gather the necessary data. This method is used because it is easier and it is the appropriate method due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The researchers used frequency, weighted values, weighted mean, and ranking to analyze the collected data that will determine the impact of flexible online learning to laboratory-based examination and activities among maritime students of a university in Region 4A. The data that will be gathered from the students will be treated as an individual source. After a long period, the pandemic is still one of the top problems in our society. It affects the education of the students as well as their capabilities in performing their laboratory activities. This research shows the impact of online flexible learning in laboratory-based examination and activities that are in line with the financial, support system, and skill development impact. This research was made to analyze and overcome the problem of conducting online laboratory activities and examinations among maritime students. This will also recommend improving the laboratory practices that are performed in flexible ways.
