Completed2021

Abstract

This study was designed to assess the previous and new standard operating procedures of fast food chains in Lucena City as a basis for safe management measures. The researchers used the descriptive method to analyze the data they collected from the survey questionnaires that were distributed to employees and customers of fast-food chains in Lucena City, which served as the primary source of information for the study. The survey forms were filled out by a total of 100 respondents. The researchers tabulated and analyzed the gathered data using statistical treatment after they had collected the needed data. To evaluate whether there is a significant difference in the perceived previous and new standard operating procedures when respondents are grouped according to profile, a T-test was used. Results revealed that the standard operating procedures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic are rated greater than the “before” as manifested by the responses who participated in the study. It was concluded that there is a significant difference on the perception of the previous and new standard operating procedures when respondents are group according to profile. It is recommended for the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to implement the proposed Safe Management Measures which is the output of this research, to ensure more stringent sanitation management measures, and make sure that the cleaning works are well done.
