Department Description

The Pollution Control Office has an enormous task of ensuring the protection of the campus environment through monitoring and implementation of environmental laws in compliance with legal and statutory requirements. 

 

The office is responsible for solid and hazardous waste management and pollution control on the campus. It also acts as the liaison office of DENR on the other requirements required by the said office and on the latest technology on the prevention, control, and abatement of pollution. 

 

The PCO is also responsible for the water potability tests of the drinking stations on the campus to enable safe drinking water for everyone. 

 

The office is headed by  Engr. Renato M. Vergara, Ph.D., an accredited Pollution Control Officer of the DENR-Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), Calabarzon.
