The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines Inc.-MSEUF Student Chapter conducted a tree-planting activity on Feb. 10, at the MSEUF Forest Research Site as part of its commitment to community outreach and environmental sustainability.

Student and faculty participants first gathered at the Dr. Tobias Y. Enverga Sr. Alumni Center before proceeding to the designated planting area. Despite the heat, participants actively planted seedlings and worked together throughout the activity.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to take part in sustainability efforts. It also strengthened cooperation, teamwork and camaraderie among participants as they contributed to a shared environmental goal.

Through the activity, IIEE-MSEUF Student Chapter showed that its role extends beyond academics and technical training. The organization emphasized the importance of community involvement, environmental responsibility and service to others.

The planted trees are expected to help improve the natural surroundings, support biodiversity and contribute to long-term ecological balance at the site.

The activity reflected MSEUF’s commitment to community service and learning by doing by encouraging students to take direct action for environmental protection. It also upheld the core values of Mindfulness, Service, Unity and Fortitude as students and faculty worked together to support a greener and more sustainable future.
