Showcasing student talent while strengthening appreciation of Filipino culture, Cultural Show 2026 brought together second-year Bachelor of Physical Education students, first-year Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education students, Banyuhay Dance Troupe trainees and Society of Culture, Arts, and Physical Education members on Oct. 22-23 at the AEC Little Theater.

The two-day event featured traditional dances and cultural performances designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply what they had learned in class, develop confidence and express their creativity through performance.

Second-year BPED students presented performances connected with their Philippine Traditional Dance subject, while first-year BCAED students and Banyuhay Dance Troupe trainees also took part in the cultural showcase.

SCAPE members facilitated the activity under the guidance of Head Adviser Keyvin Amo. Fellow students and guardians were also invited to witness the performances and support the participants.

Through the activity, students strengthened their confidence, discipline, creativity, leadership, teamwork and collaboration while gaining a deeper appreciation of Philippine cultural traditions.

Cultural Show 2026 also encouraged community involvement by bringing together performers, student organizations, classmates and guardians in a shared celebration of Filipino culture and heritage.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s learning-by-doing and student-centered educational approaches by allowing students to apply classroom learning through live cultural performance. It also reflected the core values of Excellence, Unity and Mindfulness through creative expression, collaboration and appreciation of Filipino heritage.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education — The cultural show provided experiential learning opportunities that developed performance skills, confidence, creativity and cultural understanding.
  • SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities — The activity promoted appreciation and preservation of cultural heritage through traditional dance and performance.
