TMC holds seminar to enhance calculator skills of engineering students

he Technology Math Club (TMC) of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation conducted a seminar titled “TMC Calculator Techniques 2026: Maximizing Your Calculator Potential” on March 6 at RBA Hall to help engineering students improve their computational skills.
A total of 35 members participated in the whole-day activity, which aimed to enhance students’ efficiency in solving mathematical and engineering problems through practical calculator techniques. The seminar ran from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The program focused on teaching participants how to perform faster and more accurate calculations using their calculators, equipping them with strategies to handle complex academic tasks. Organizers emphasized the importance of maximizing available tools to improve performance in engineering subjects.
According to the organizers, the seminar successfully improved participants’ knowledge and skills in using calculators effectively. Students were able to learn techniques that increased both their speed and accuracy in solving advanced computations.
The activity also encouraged participants to view calculators not just as basic tools, but as essential instruments for efficient problem-solving in their academic work.
The seminar primarily benefited engineering students of the university, supporting their academic development in mathematics and related fields.
