MCS documents literary event on bias, misinformation

The Mass Communication Society supported a literary-related campus activity that featured contests and seminars focused on bias, misinformation and responsible media consumption.
The activity gathered students, faculty members and speakers for discussions on how bias and misinformation influence people’s views and shape public understanding.
Through the seminars and interactive segments, participants examined the importance of critical thinking, responsible communication and active engagement in addressing misleading information.
MCS assisted in documenting the event by producing a same-day edit video and taking photographs that highlighted the programs, participants and key moments of the activity.
The initiative benefited MSEUF students and faculty members by promoting awareness, engagement and responsible media practices within the academic community.
Through its documentation work, MCS also strengthened students’ practical skills in media production, event coverage and visual storytelling.
The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered and outcomes-oriented education by encouraging students to apply communication skills in a real campus setting. It reflected the University’s core values of Mindfulness, Service, Excellence and Unity by promoting critical awareness, responsible information use and collaboration within the academic community.
