The Mass Communication Society conducted an online reflection activity that encouraged AB Communication students to examine the use of artificial intelligence in academic and real-world contexts.

The activity asked students to discuss how AI influences creativity, critical thinking, learning and decision-making, especially in communication education and practice.

Organizers said the reflection helped students evaluate how AI affects the way knowledge is created, processed and applied in both schoolwork and professional settings.

Through the project, students became more aware of the proper and responsible use of AI tools, including their impact on learning, creativity and decision-making.

The initiative benefited MCS members and Southern Luzon State University communication students by strengthening their awareness of responsible AI use and its growing role in education and communication practice.

The activity supported Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s commitment to student-centered and outcomes-oriented education by helping students reflect on emerging technologies and their influence on learning and professional practice. It reflected the University’s core values of Mindfulness, Excellence and Service by promoting ethical awareness, critical thinking and responsible technology use among future communication professionals.
